1936

In 1936 Hon. Anthony P. Savarese was the visionary and founder of the Italian Charities and Welfare Center of Queens. The noteworthy Generoso Pope was also a founder and the first signatory of the official documents of this organization.

1951

The board of Italian Charities secures the funds needed to purchase land and begins constructing its headquarters. Our 1951 modernist building was designed by architect Manoug Exerjian.

2018

Italian Charities of America, Inc. and its new Board of Directors is leading the way to establish a new era for this organization. Building upon all the accomplishments of the past while expanding the horizons for growth in its mission.
